Importance of Acoustic Ventilation
In times of heightened health and safety concerns and requirements, it is important to ensure all noise generating equipping is provided with suitable containment and enclosures to apprehend the sound levels close to the source. Enclosures and containments can lead to stifling the required airflow around the noise generating equipment resulting in low productivity and high maintenance costs. Strand® acoustic products ensure that the correct airflow is maintained across the equipment and ensuring that the sound levels are acceptable for workplace health.
Combining Acoustic control and natural ventilation
With Arcadia’s Strand® Roof ventilators control solution it is not necessary to lose the benefits of natural ventilation due to noise pollution requirements. Strand® Roof ventilators has been designed as an option to incorporate a high performing noise absorption material. As air is exhausted through the ventilator the acoustic lining minimises noise transmission from the building. This also limits the transmission of noise entering the building. The acoustic lining has high flame retardant and chemical resistant properties. All Ventilators are designed to incorporate operable damper systems enabling open/close function to manage natural ventilation, noise control, heat, and integration with fire and smoke management systems.
Ideal for Industrial buildings
Facilities for heavy manufacturing, power generation, water pumping and desalination have taken advantage of this for many years by incorporating the Strand® roof ventilation with added acoustic attenuation.
